Scott Andrew

I am a freelance theatre director, now available to direct quality musical theatre productions throughout New Zealand and Australia. I will lead, motivate and inspire the entire company throughout the rehearsal period, delivering a polished production by opening night.

With over 20 years experience in many aspects of theatre, I have gained an impressive resume as a director, performer and designer. I have directed and/or performed in productions in Blenheim, Pahiatua, Levin, Dannevirke, at the Regent on Broadway in Palmerston North and at the Bowl of Brooklands in New Plymouth.

With my passion for musical theatre and my strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration, I have a reputation for directing sell-out and critically acclaimed productions. I have twice been named Best Director at the Globe Theatre Awards (Palmerston North) and several of my productions have travelled to additional venues for ‘return seasons’.

I am an Associate Member of Musical Theatre New Zealand and regularly undertake professional development with New Zealand industry professionals, having worked with people such as John Wregg, Bert Van Dijk, Simon Ferry, Christian Penny, Bryan Aitken, Warren Bates and Stephen Robertson.
